Funded Training for Building and Construction Industry Workers

Safety & Emergency Training are proud recipients of a Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding contract to deliver Short Courses – General Construction to eligible workers within the Queensland building and construction industry for the contract period 1st October 2017 to 30 September 2018.

These short courses focus on the safety, licencing and regulatory requirements of the industry and provide you with a range of competencies that employers need. These short courses are designed to get you up skilled fast.

If you:

  • Are an existing working (employed for one month or more) in the building and construction industry and an Eligible Worker as defined in the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Services Leave) Act 1991 (QLD),  OR
  • Have been unemployed for a period of not greater than 6 months but would otherwise meet the requirements of an eligible worker.
  • Are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or a permanent resident of Australia or a holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa and
  • Permanently reside in Queensland or are permanently employed in Queensland:

Safety and Emergency Training are able to offer training in the following regions: Mackay Whitsundays, North West, Northern

*Further charges may apply if equipment hire is required or satisfactory final assessments do not take place, final assessments must be completed by September 2018. Charges may also apply if reassessments are also required.
